Dear Parents and Students,Despite today's "snow" day, students in the "Writing: Basics and Beyond" class must keep pressing on with their research papers! It is important that we stay on our schedule, and I believe that we can do that with only minor adjustments.
Had we been in class today, students would have been showing me their note cards and the copies that they have made from their three book sources. We will do that next Tuesday, Feb. 3. We were also scheduled to cover these topics:
Finding Internet sources
Finding people to interview
How to conduct an interview
I will cover these topics on the blog over the next couple of days. Please have your student check the blog several times before Monday. This week's journal entries will be posted at 2pm today.
This week's assignments are:
(1) Bring in the names of three people sources with contact information. Please see the attached handout, "Conducting an Interview." Each student will need to print off three of these, one for each interviewee. These are due next week.
(2) Take notes from three Internet sources. Run copies of the pages from which you take the notes. These must be brought to class next week.
(3) As always, students must keep up with their journal entries and comment on the blog.
Please encourage your students to feel free to ask me any questions they might have, via email or the blog. They also have my number if they want to call.

Hey Mrs. P! I'm kind of in a predicament... I have only been able to locate one veterinary physical therapist to interview and, in that, only by email so I was wondering, would it would be ok to interview a vet or vet tech?

EEE,
I'm going to post about finding people to interview, so don't give up yet! That can be your last resort. Check the blog tomorrow and Thursday for some tips.
Jo Bo,
Would you say it's a myth or a legend? I could tell you about some snows we had "back in the day..."
Mrs. P
I think he means "Why does it ONLY snow on Tuesdays?!"
Hey! I got snow! What do you mean a myth?!?!?!
