Mar. 2 -- This Week's Journal Entries

Students,

Now that you have your journals back (ahhhh....feels good, doesn't it?), go back to the entry where you listed your top ten choices of people to interview. For this week's first entry, I want you to go back to your list and now compose at least three questions you would ask each one of them.

Listen up: These need to be good questions, and you may not ask the same questions for each one! There is a reason that you chose these people, right? Now, put on your thinking cap and construct three questions for each person that you would most like answered. You should have a total of (at least) 30 questions--three questions for each person. Get it?

If you are right now heaving a huge sigh of dread, please be informed: This is a writing class. We write. :)

For your second journal entry, I want you to discuss why you think outlines are so important to Mrs. Powell, and let me know if you see the light yet on how much they can help you, especially with a research paper. This entry should be at least 70 words of good writing.

Bonjour! Class was fun today. I am not that brilliant, but I shall try to put something brilliant on here...
Well, we have something to do this week, which will help me feel more...something, I don't know what, though. I felt kinda wierd last week because I was used to turning in assignments, and here we had nothing. Well, now we have something, so I had better get started on that something!
Au revoir!

Oi, como vai você!

Oh. I must've missed the memo. We have to introduce and conclude our posts in a different language? Hm. That's different. I wouldn't call that writing class. International languages class now, are we?

Wow, Mrs. Powell. I am amazed. That was writing class we were in? My! I thought we were taking a wood carving class! No wonder we haven't done any carving. Hm.

Wow. That is a bit of work though. And then you want us to tell you how we feel about another issue about our teacher (ahem, that would be you, Mrs. Powell) after you've given us only THREE PAGES worth of work? You've put me on the spot here :D!!

Oh come on that's not fair. You give us WORK and now predict the future? I'm watching you now... consider yourself WATCHED!

Okay I'm done ranting on about absolutely nothing. I'm doing well as far as interviews go! So I will keep you updated...if...if you want to be updated. Okay bye! Oh wait, not bye. I have to do a different language. Darn. I'm so not getting used to this International language carving class that's turned into writing. Maybe i should go lie down now.

Tchau!!

Danielle,
I have been saying 75, but I dropped it to 70, no real reason.

Dr. Sunshine,
Uhm...what?

Daniel,
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Sarah,
That's why the research paper is worth so many points! You are doing something every week, just turning it all in at once!

Wow. It's only the day after school and everyone has posted. Weird. Well...class was normal as usual. What else can I say? I hope everyone is having a good week and not stressing about the paper. Daniel, feel better. I'll see you guys on Tuesday.
Bonsoir.

Tena koutou!

Oh my goodness people. I thought I was slow. Well, I guess that is still true. The problem is I'm terrible at explaining things. Besides, it totally ruins the moment here. I thought that was my best comment ever.

Okay, let me just give you some sort of hint since I wasn't understood. My whole comment was a reply to the post that you had posted this week, Mrs. Powell. I must say it wasn't in order, but its all there.

Moving on. I got all my interviews done! I'm excited! So I'm good to go with all of that.
And there's your update.

Well I really need to go. I have quite a bit of work still to do, not to mention I have to practice for two separate auditions for this week as well. So I will be seeing you all tomorrow! I hope you've all had a great week!

Aroha nui!

Mrs. Powell, when we cite our works we have to cite all of the webistes we used correct? Or just the three we wrote down on Handout #6? Thanks.
Namarie.
