For class tomorrow, please be sure that you have these things:
Your signed grading sheet. Your argumentative paper #1 was returned to you with a grade last Tuesday. The grading sheet is supposed to be signed by a parent (not a sibling, friend, or neighbor) and returned to me this Tuesday.
Your re-write. If you were not pleased with your grade, your re-write is due tomorrow. A re-write is very easy to do. I tell you exactly what I want from you. Be sure to have a parent look over your re-write to help you be sure that you have done what I asked.
This week's assignment. We are now working on argumentative paper #2. There are only two topics from which to choose. You may write your paper on "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" or "I Gave Dating a Chance." This is not a book review. This is a paper arguing what you believe and why you believe it. You are to bring your well-developed thesis statement and the complete outline for your paper. Check out the one I did on "I Kissed Chocolate Goodbye" in the post below. This is how yours should look!
I will return your book reviews tomorrow. Everyone did a great job, and I was very pleased with your work. You will be very happy to know that I graded your book reviews on content only--I overlooked your grammar (or lack of it).
Be sure and leave comments here on the ol' blog if you haven't done so. Take the poll! I am looking forward to seeing your smiling faces in class tomorrow.

THIS IS TREVOR, I'M LEAVING A COMMENT!
Dude! Nice of you to join us!

Hi Mrs. Powell,
It sure does look like other members of the class are trying to collect some brownie points. However, you know I am not like that at all. If I had my way, I wouldn't post anything. But since this is a requirement, I am here posting this comment. Hey, at least I'm honest.

Aaron,
Never discount the value of brownie points. . .
