Students,
I hope you people have been hard at work on your drafts and that you have them ready to go for tomorrow. I am going to present you with a detailed grading sheet by which you will critique a classmate's paper. It will list everything you are looking for and help you see the grading process that I use when I go over your papers.
If you do not bring a complete draft to class, you will miss out on this exercise and all its benefits. So please come to class PREPARED.
QUESTIONS? If anyone needs my help or wants to go over your points with me before class tomorrow, you may certainly email me, or you may call me this afternoon/evening. I'm here to help.
See you tomorrow!

Um when you say, "draft" do you mean we aren't bringing in the finished and complete paper? Are we going to turn it in?

Meghan,
This week your draft is due. A draft IS a finished and complete paper--but it is still a work in progress. We will critique these in class and then you will be able to make any revisions necessary before turning in your final paper on November 27th.
You should take the draft just as seriously as though it were the final (although you don't have to type it) and give it your very best shot.
