Students,
How are the devos coming along? I am looking forward to hearing you read them this Tuesday. If you have questions, please post them here.
Also, please remember that Tuesday night, sign-ups for next year's classes will be held at Aaron Academy, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
At the Aaron Academy faculty meeting this week, all teachers were reminded of the dress code policy and rules regarding haircuts and facial hair. There is really nothing militant about our school policies, and it is not difficult to follow these rules one day a week. Honestly, it could be much worse. Please be sure, guys, that if you need a haircut, you take care of that this week. Aaron Academy policy states: All young men must be clean-shaven, no beards, mustaches, or goatees. No shoulder-length hair will be allowed, or bangs below the eyebrows.
I don't have much else to share this week. Grading your research papers sufficiently fried my brain.

Hey,
I was wondering if I have to just bring in my rough draft this week...is that correct...or do I need to bring in a complete paper...my computer crashed on Tuesday so I'm having to start from scratch..and it could really just help me if I could turn in a rough draft...Thanks
No Fro Jo!!
I had a good paper, but I was 86 words over the word count. I let Emily look at it, and she took 90 words out! My paper is even better, and flows flawlessly! It's great!
My paper is now done and perfect! Kudos to Emily!
Hello No Fro Jo--
You can do it--so the answer is no! You need to bring in your completed devo.
You're already ahead of schedule since it is only Thursday. :) Send me your rough draft before noon on Monday and I'll look at it for you. (Please note the time boundary on my very generous offer.)
Mrs. P
I can't believe I haven't commented yet! But trust me, I've been keeping up with the blog. I've also been working on my devo....I'll admit, this has been more challenging.
Hey Mrs. P, my title is a line from the song. Is that okay? Does it need quotation marks?
Kay lo,
That's fine, and you do not need to put quotations around it.
Mrs. P
My devo is going much more smoothly this week. thank goodness!
Do we have to read the whole thing out loud??
Holly :D
Holly,
Yes!
Mrs. P
Do you want us to turn our rough drafts in, too?
Hi Mrs.Powell! I was thinking about a conversation that I had with Logan,Tyler, and Kent, and I realized that everyone had a different opion about the order the devotion is supposed to be in. In my devotion I have my personal story, then the Scripture passage, then a paragraph tying the story and Scripture together, then my conclusion, and finally the personal prayer. Is that right? If I just really confused you, I could email you my paper...
Larizzle,
Yes, that's correct.
LoVizzle,
Yes, turn in the draft and the final together.
Mrs. P
Everyone better be at the game tonight or I'll... cry...
The game will be lots of fun! Can't wait!
Mrs. P
Thanks Mrs.Powell!
Logan, Kent- You were both wrong.
Tyler- WE WERE RIGHT!!!
Jo Bo- Um, sorry, I can't come to the game. I'll bring you a Kleenex to dry your tears Tuesday.
OK, wait a minute. I thought your Scripture went first, and THEN your personal story. On page 2 of the handout, it says, "Include Scripture passage, in its entirety, first thing on your paper." Doesn't that mean your Scripture goes first?
Oh good grief. LoVizzle, YOU are correct! When I first read Larizzle's comment, I was thinking that she was talking about the personal story, then REFERRING BACK TO THE SCRIPTURE (which would be correct). I apologize for misreading that and thereby confusing all you lovely people.
Sorry about that, Larizzle. I was in a hurry when I read that. But the handout specifically says that your Scripture passage is to be first.
LoVizzle, the next shout-out is for you, dude!
Mrs. P
When was that picture taken? I don't remember having that taken. Where did you dig it up?
It was during the first semester. I had to crop Kent and Tyler out of it!
Uhhh... Still don't remember anyone taking it. I remember Jason came in and took pictures one week, so I guess it was that day.
I took it! It was the day I had my camera and took pics of the first class but forgot to take any of the second class.
