HOW TO TURN IN YOUR CHICKEN SOUP STORY

Class,

Please follow these guidelines when turning in your Chicken Soup story.

Your cover sheet goes on top. Please note: Some of you people have forgotten how to format your cover sheet. Here you go:

Your cover sheet needs to look like this:

CENTER YOUR VERY CATCHY TITLE

22 LINES DOWN FROM A ONE-INCH MARGIN IN ALL CAPS

Six lines down type your name

Word Count goes here

Writing: Basics and Beyond

Mrs. Powell

The time of your class—11:00 A.M. or 1:00 P. M.

Behind your cover sheet, the rest of the paper will line up as follows:

  • Final Chicken Soup story
  • Draft Chicken Soup story
  • Critique of your Chicken Soup story

DO NOT FAIL TO TURN IN THE CRITIQUE! A CLASSMATE IS DEPENDING ON YOU FOR HIS/HER CRITIQUE GRADE!

So where does the outline go?

Oh, and something else I noticed... at the beginning of the year, you gave us a hand-out with a sample cover sheet stapled to the back. After the "6 lines down" everything was single-spaced, but on this post it appears to be double spaced...sooooo...should I do it single or double?

I just edited everything, and wow! It's like...a lot better! Thanks to my editors, Mrs. P and Tyler!

So, Mrs. P, as of now, I have six pages. Do you want me to do page numbers in case you have to take out the staple again?

Whoa...I'm already tearin up the blog here. I hope you get the chance to get on here before you leave...oh, and have a great trip!

Kay lo,

Blogger, for whatever reason, would not let me single space. I prefer that you do it as it is on the sample that you were given at the beginning of the year. However, since blogger double-spaced it, that will still be acceptable.

Outlines are worth ten extra points for those who wish to do one. Just turn it in behind the critique.

Yes, do page numbers!

Do we all have to do page numbers, or is that only for kay lo?

Lauren,

I don't want to stress about page numbers. If you staple it, that should be fine.
