IDEAS FOR CHICKEN SOUP STORY

Students,

Some of you may want to revisit your own Christmas experience that you wrote about when we came back to school after our Christmas break. Remember? As I recall, some of the things that you people experienced would totally lend themselves to a good story line and thus, a good Chicken Soup story!

MORE IDEAS

Think of:
  • A special gift you were given
  • The last words a loved one spoke to you
  • A special trip
  • An argument that was resolved
  • Something that happened when you were little
  • A surgery, illness, or hospitalization
  • A special Christmas tree ornament
  • A family vacation
  • A time you helped someone that you did not really want to help, or forgave someone that you did not really want to forgive
  • A conversation with a parent or grandparent
  • The time you saw your mom or dad with new eyes

Thanks for the ideas, Mrs P. A new idea popped into my head when I read the list. I dunno if I'll use it. But if I do, I'll have to embellish it a little.

Hey Nathan, I was wondering when your blog for the 11 o'clock was going to be online. I wanna check it out.

I just thought I would drop in and say hey and that I'm actually not completely dreading this assignment. I haven't exactly thought of or found my story yet, but it shouldn't be that difficult. See everyone next Tuesday.

alright, so this story doesnt have to be about an experience that affected US most...but we were a part of it..... like pretty much we can write about anything we want as long as we are included in it some where as in it happened within the family....

Randi,

Not necessarily. You don't have to be a character in the story.

For instance, you could write about something that happened to your grandparents without your being a part of the story.

Is that what you were asking?

This is a random question, Mrs P, but will we have assigned seating this week's critiques? I know it's off-the-wall, but I'm curious.
