Choosing Your Career Topic

Hello Everyone!

Let's talk for a few minutes about choosing the career that will serve as your paper's topic. Zoey, who is in the 1:00pm class, agreed to share the brainstorming session that we used in order to pare down her topic into one that was not too broad, yet not so narrow that she would not be able to find enough information on it. Follow the steps we used below.

Zoey chose MUSICIAN as her career.

What kind of musician?
Studio musician
Composer
Worship leader
Lyricist
Instrumentalist
Vocalist

Zoey then narrowed it down to WORSHIP LEADER.

The question then was, "Is worship leader too narrow?" So we began to brainstorm about the different places that a worship leader could find a job.
Churches
Retreat centers
Conference events
Camps

Well, that doesn't look too narrow. In fact, thinking about these different areas also prompted some more questions that Zoey wants answered. For example:

What does the job of worship leader entail?
How do you draw the lines between what is ministry and what is your job?

These are going to be great INTERVIEW QUESTIONS to ask her resource people.

When you choose and narrow down your topic, please leave a comment here to let your classmates know what you are going to do!

Yes.....first I must understand it myself, lol. I'm a little confused now about what I'm doing here. lol.

But whatever it is I'm doing, I'm doing my best!=D

This part was easy, for someone like me who already has three top choices it took about five seconds, but that's just me bragging. the trick is knowing yourself and the job, if the job has things you like to do or are good at then learn more about, thats what i did (see above) and this part took about five seconds.

Hope you're all just as much fun as me
