This Tuesday, you need to bring:
- Your completed Blog Quiz
- Your completed Sentence Worksheet
- The first draft of your Definition Paper
We will be talking about good sentences. I will ask for volunteers to read some of the sentences you selected and share why you think they are good sentences. We'll also be talking about building a good sentence, sentence structure, and sentence variety. From there, we'll be teaming up to critique each other's drafts.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you've done over this week!
Enjoy the weekend!

Hi, Mrs. Powell. I like the blog. Keep up the good work!

OK, since Mrs. P like my sentance so much, I decided to post it just for her! "Whilst sun and moon endure, America shall remain a refuge for the whole earth, until she herself shall play the tyrant, forget her destiny, disgrace her freedom, and provoke her God."
George Duffield, Patriot Preacher
I found that in the book Under God by dc Talk's Toby Mac and Michael Tait.
Ps I have a gazillion more quotes that make you feel that way. Some are by John Adams, some by Washington, and lesser known others. Here is a good J. Adams: "Statesmen... may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand."
Thanks, Logan! Very cool to have that quote on the ol' blog!
And btw, Toby Mac is my second cousin. Remind me next Tuesday and I will tell you about it!
