WHAT'S DUE THIS TUESDAY

Students,

This is your official reminder as to what is due this coming Tuesday, Sept. 30.

  • Your corrected, clean copy of your definition paper.
  • Your parent-signed grade sheet.
  • Your thesis statement and outline for your argumentative paper. (Be sure to check out the post that is two below this one. It has a sample outline.)
  • The comma worksheet from last week (if you are in the 11:00 am class and did not already turn it in).
Also, some students have asked how to study for the quiz over the two dating books. I suggest that you make a list of the authors' main differences in their dating philosophies. Know what each one believes and why they reached the conclusions they did. All I'm looking for on the quiz is for you to convince me that you have read both the books and that you are ready to articulate your points of view in our Great Date Debate on Oct. 21st. You can best convince me of that with a good grade.

I am not looking for you to agree with me and my views on the subject. I want you to be able to know what you think and then communicate it well, through both the spoken and written word.

The fun has just begun! :)

hey Mrs. P! I just noticed that you didn't list the "parent signed grade sheet" on the list of what to bring in next week. Just wanted to remind everyone else of that because I'm pretty sure you told us in class to bring it.

Thanks, Kay lo,

I kept looking at that post and thinking, "What am I forgetting?"

Fixed it!

Hi guys! I'd say I'm sorry for not being in class last week. but that'd be a lie. While you guys were in class, I was watching the Blue Angels and touring the Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola, FL. Then, I was on the sandy, white beaches of Alabama. Now, I'm back to reality: school. See ya tomorrow morning!
