You guys are not the only ones who have papers to write and deadlines to meet. I'm deadlining this weekend on my monthly column for ParentLife, so I know how you feel when you have a paper due. In fact, I have three points to make and an introduction and a conclusion to write, just as you do. And I'm writing it in that order--the same way that I'm teaching you. When I was in college, I always wrote the introductory paragraph first. It was so difficult! Because I really didn't know where my paper was going, that first paragraph took forever. It was like trying to draw a map to a place that I had never been. But since then, I've learned to establish the points I want to make first. After that's done, the introductory paragraph is much easier to write.
