The Guys are Stepping up to the Plate!

I love it!

Nathan caught a typo on the blog, and here to present his award is none other than Mr. Grammar himself (that would be Kelsey Grammar). I am very proud of you, Nathan. Good eye! (Are you sure you don't like baseball?)

Nathan, you are the last person to need five extra points, so if you want to trade those in on some M&Ms, just let me know.

Students, read Nathan's comment on "My Great Expectations..." entry. I have quickly corrected my goof, but he caught it, and no one else did! I'm sure there are other goofs to be found on this blog. That just goes to show you that proofreading is difficult, especially proofing your own copy. Have a parent or sibling read over your final papers before you turn them in tomorrow. It will pay off!

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in class! Expect the unexpected!

Hey Mrs. Powell,
Tom was the one that proofed/edited my paper with an outline. On the outline he said that my last paragraph was the same as the first, with new words. So as I re-read it I realized he was very right. The idea of letting the classmates read the rough draft was a good way for me to see the errors of my paper.

Rachel!
I am so proud of you! Post how long it took you and what your word count for each review was. Perhaps it will motivate your classmates!
Yay!!!

It took me about two hours or so and my word count for both is a little over 500.
