LAST MINUTE DETAILS

Hello Students,

I wanted to clarify a few things for you regarding your assignments, Tuesday's class, and our upcoming debate.

EXTRA CREDIT: By "personal pronouns," I mean I don't want you to use "I," "you," "me," or "we" in your paper. In other words, don't write the paper in the first person voice.

You will turn in your paper to Mrs. Hire, who will be your substitute this coming Tuesday. She will take them up first thing. She will not take up excuses, so please be sure and have your paper with you, not at home on the printer, in your car, or rolling around in your head. :)

TEST: The dating books test will be quite fun for you, actually. Surprised? Wait a minute; isn't it fun when you get to take a test that you know about? (Spiritually speaking, it is those tests that we don't know about that tend to be not so fun.) Your test was tested on two students who are not in our class--one of whom had done his reading, and the other who had read only half of one of the books. The results were clear: If you have read the books, you will do fine on the test. If you have not read the books, then, well...you won't do well at all! Guessing will not get the job done. Get to reading now! The playoffs are on, and you certainly don't want to have to study tonight when you could be watching baseball!

I have two posts scheduled for next week:

The DOs and DON'Ts of BOOK REVIEWS will post on Tuesday, October 14th.
The GREAT DATE DEBATE 08 will post on Wednesday, October 15th.

Hey Mrs. P! I don't know if you've left yet or not, but you said that you'd post something to let us know exactly how you want our papers turned in. Such as, in which order to put our final paper, draft, ctique sheet, "etc."... Just wondering about that.
thanks!

DOes that mean I can use "their" and "they"? Will you count those as personal pronouns?
