Comments

Several of you have not commented on the blog this week. Please do so before tomorrow! This is an easy way to earn points and much cheaper than trying to bribe me with Chick-fil-a.

Also, please remember when you leave me a question, I will answer your question on the same post. So don't forget which post you left it on!

Hi Mrs.Powell!I just thoughtfully realized that I am the first one to comment on this post. Certainly this qualifies for a thoughtful comment, doesn't it? Well, if it doesn't snow, I'll see all you GUYSES :) (just for you Mrs.Powell) tomorrow!

Mrs. Powell,
Do you have to have conformation of an interview to write them on our interviewee sheet, or can we write down someone we plan on interviewing?

Hey Mrs. P! I was just curious... what if you email a person you want to interview and they don't get back to you on time? I have emailed two VPTs and neither of them have gotten back to me yet. Also, the vet gave me the name of an animal chiropractor and I was wondering if he could count as an interview.

Larizzle,

Girlfriend, you need to keep the yankee-talk off my blog...unless you're referring to my team, which would be Yankee-talk!!

V.G.,

You do not have to have confirmation.

EEE,

This is why we start this process fairly early. You have to take into account that you are trying to interview busy people. Sometimes it takes a while to get a response. Did you let them know the time by which you will need to receive their responses? Last year, Jen10 had to practically start nagging her people in order to get her interviews completed. Go ahead and put the people on your list, and plan to follow up every three days or so. You need to have a couple of other options in case the first people you write do not ever respond.

I think the animal chiropractor would be okay. Be sure to ask this person if he/she knows any animal PT's.

Mrs. Powell,
Thanks! Also, when you say "take notes on three internet and three book sources and TURN THEM IN." Do just mean turn in the pages, or both the pages we copied AND the notecards?

p.s. *SIGH* Why do all these questions come to me on monday?
Which one do you like "Graciepoo"or "V.G."?

Rebecca Ingram Powell said...

Thanks, Randi! I would definitely say that the writing class is the pizazziest!

Also, I am all about the Germ-X; being sick has no pizazz at all.

Grace,

I prefer GraciePoo. V.G. makes me think of V-8 or a V-6 engine.

To answer your question, you are showing me both the copies and the notes that you have taken. I am giving your stuff back to you immediately after I make sure you have completed it. Refer to the sidebar for everything we are trying to accomplish tomorrow!

Mrs. P ~ just a few things. #1. About making the copies on the resource books: isn't that illegal? Those books have copyrights on them, and my mom brought that up while we were talking about school and making copies of the pages. Just a thought... #2. My blog is: www.starsandstripesforall.blogspot.com And anybody else who reads this comment is welcome to visit my blog, too! Please pass it on ~ I'm just getting started on it.
Thanks,
Nathan
P.S. what's with the Chick-Fil-A stuff????? It's making me hungry!

Rebecca Ingram Powell said...

Nathan,

There is absolutely no problem with making copies of the pages you are using. You are not making the copies to re-sell or re-distribute in any way.

Everyone, take some time to check out Nathan's blog!

No Fro Joe,

DUDE! You are a step ahead of me this week! I'm in the process of posting the journal entry questions right now!

Stay tuned,
Mrs. P

Seriously, why is there a chicken sandwich and french fries on the blog? That is a little ironic though. The owner of Chick-Fil-A on Glenbrook is having surgery today. I don't know what kind of surgery, but I know that he'll be back at work Monday. Please keep him in your prayers.

Oh, Mrs P, on the sched, you say we gotta do an editing handout this week. Problem is, I don't remember getting an editing handout in class. Can you shed some light on this, Mrs P?

Rebecca Ingram Powell said...

LoVizzle,

CFA is mentioned in the post!

Editing sheet: I mentioned at the end of class that we were going to skip that this week. Maybe it was the 1pm class that I told. Whatever the case, no editing sheet this week.

That is beautiful.
