NAWLINS

Students,

As I mentioned, I will be going out of town tomorrow. Danya and I will be going to New Orleans ("Nawlins") for a girls' conference where I will be speaking and she will be leading worship. We are looking forward to a great weekend, and we could certainly use your prayers! If you have questions about your paper or about your oral presentation, please be sure that you ask those questions today.

Oral Presentations:
Kayleigh asked about how to say Bible references in the comments on the post below. Check that out if you have a similar question.

Endnotes: If you are presenting your paper and come across something you have endnoted, just keep on reading. You do not have to say "number 4" and then read your endnote.

If you can think of other questions, once again, ask today.

Maxwell: You must bring a Maxwell from which to read. If you do not bring a Maxwell, the hammer drops and you will not have the benefit of reading your presentation. Unless you plan on memorizing your presentation, please make sure you follow these instructions.

Final Papers:
Don't forget to send me a copy by email anytime on Monday. This is how I will check your word count.

Extra Credit:
The extra credit opportunity mentioned below is for this week only. Take advantage of it anytime before our classes meet on Tuesday, Mar. 17 (Judgment Day). So far, your comments have been impressive! :)

Mrs. P! I've got everything completed! YAYAYAY! Wheeew! This process has been crazy, but totally cool!

Have a nice trip! And shouldn't it be Nyawlins?

Mrs P, I am trying to use a quote. The quote is from a book. Do I introduce the quote: Kevin and Jackie Freiburg, authors of Nuts! The Southwest Airlines' Crazy Recipe for Business and Personal Success, stated, "Leaders help ordinary people do extraordinary things."? It seems a bit long to introduce the title of the book, but should I anyway?

Go, Kay lo! :)

LoVizzle,

Yes, use it just like that. Don't forget to either underline the title of that book OR put it in italics. (Don't do both.)

Casey,

Be sure to read the post, "How to Turn in Your Research Paper." Your journal will be turned in at the same time.

Mrs P, I have a great, simgle-paragraph conclusion, but I have 4-6 endnotes. It is a lot of endnotes, and it looks like to many. All of the info is relevant and fits with the purpose of my paper. Here's the thing: All of my endnotes are from the SAME webpage and SAME URL. Is there any way I can say that the whole paragraph has been informed by one webpage? I mean, give the PARAGRAPH an endnote, instead of giving 6 individual sentences and endnote?

LoVizzle,

I don't think there's a way to do that. If you like the paragraph as is, and all the quotes are truly relevant, then just go with it.

That said, you said four to six endnotes. Since it is one paragraph, I would try to stick with four.

Thanks Mrs P. Hey, I thought you left at 5 like last time?

No, we're flying out today. We're leaving in just a bit. Any more questions?
