THIS WEEK'S JOURNAL ENTRIES

Students,

You are wrapping up your journals this week. I hope you have enjoyed keeping a journal. Who knows? You may decide journaling is something you want to continue. Here are this week's journal entries.

(1) After listening to Dr. Summey today, please write at least 75 words commenting on something he said. What did he say that surprised you? What did you think was the most interesting? Was there anything he said that struck a chord within you? Tell me about it.

(2) Your paper is finished. You have researched a career you thought you were interested in. Answer these two questions:

Do you think this career is the one you will pursue? If so, what happened in the course of your research that really "sealed the deal" for you? Was it someone you interviewed, something you read, or what? In the same way, perhaps something occurred during the writing of this paper that confirmed for you that this is NOT the career for you. What was it? Write about it. (75 words minimum)

Is the career you researched recession-proof? In other words, in tough economic times, will the career you researched be more or less in demand? Why or why not? (75 words minimum)

hmm, I think I can do these. Not that they seem all that hard, but I'm just not sure how it's going to go...

I think it's a lot of hand writing. But I think I can do it. Good topics, though, Mrs P.
