Faithful bloggers,
Stay tuned for pictures! I am on a deadline with ParentLife right now and quite under the gun, you might say, but hopefully by tomorrow or Friday I will have some pictures up from Dr. Summey's visit (as well as a few others).
Bumper stickers: Y'all are going to have to bring it on this assignment. I'm serious. You need to take this challenge seriously. Who has prayed over this? The Lord has all the creativity in the world. Just ask for His help. He loves it when we do that! Someone asked about using scrapbooking materials to really jazz up your bumper sticker. Go for it!
I was talking to a certain person just today about how we are supposed to do EVERYTHING as unto the Lord. Do you have that attitude when it comes to your school work? Do you apply care and attention to detail as though you were presenting every assignment unto the Lord? Let's see some comments about this matter. It's worth thinking about.

When I was surfing the web for ideas, I came across a pretty good website called www.cafepress.com. It had nothing interesting as far as restaurant management, but it might help others. Plus, if anyone picked archeology, they'll hit the jackpot on this sit. Archeologists dig their job!
Actually, no, I have not prayed over the assignment. I shall give that a try! I can not wait to see the pictures!

P.s. How come none of my comments are on any of the recent posts, Mrs. Powell?
Gracie-poo,
I always put your comments up. Maybe they aren't on the posts you think you leave them on?
LoVizzle and all students,
Be sure you only pick up ideas--remember you must be original!

well I try to do the best I can...most of the time. But, there's always room for improvement! This bumper sticker thing is tricky.
I am ready to see the favorite class picture. :)
Haha, me too Jo Bo! ;) But we better not say that. Mrs. P and the others might come after us.
Hey Mrs. P, I remember you saying something in class about using a background color instead of white. I just couldn't remember if you said we could do that or not. Can we? I'll still cut it out to be the same size.
Again with the favorite class thing, huh? Look, sorry to burst your bubble, but the only reason she calls you her favorite class is she feels bad for you guys. The non-slackers are in the morning class, and you sleep-in people are in the afternoon class. The morning class has more people and better writers. Not to mention, it has the one and only Logan. She j feels so bad for you unfortunate lot that she decides to make you feel important. You poor, poor group of people...
Okay people--
I do not have a favorite class. Well, okay, I do. It is the class I teach every day, consisting of MY OWN CHILDREN! :)
However, I just want to make it clear that I never said I had a favorite class when it comes to Aaron Academy students! You are, in fact, ALL my favorites!
Kay lo,
The bumper stickers must begin on a white sheet of paper. You may glue another color on top of that or you may color it, etc., however, everyone must start with the same base. Does that make sense?
Mrs. P
Does the white part have to show?
Kay lo,
No--it doesn't have to show.
Mrs. P
So far, I cannot think of a single thing to write. I know when I think of it, it'll hit me like a hammer. All I'm doing is waiting for that moment and thinking about possibilities.
ive got my bumber sticker done! and its not monday!
are we going to do journals again?

what happened to the matter we were suppose to comment about???? come on people! show some answers to the statement!
i can safely say no, i do not do everything unto the Lord. especially school. mainly school. if my parents ask anything of me, thats easy, cause i want to honor them, cause it pleases God...therefore doing it unto Him.pleasure things that i enjoy doing...easy. i want them to please Him. things i dont like doing, like school, i can always find a reason why i shouldnt do school for that day. in the end i usually end up doing it, but as far as details go, no. not with the things i dont enjoy. writing, i enjoy. math, not so much.its a learning process. God's teaching me. i do know that God can take anything, even math formulas, and use it for His work. the more we put into what we do, the better off we shall be. in a way, i understand it. its doing it that gets to me. haha:) sounds like i need to get OVER IT!!!!!!! and i will:) myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy'personal' thoughts!!!
WOTW!!!!!! ya know..there is nothing that rymes with macintosh. thats sad. lets go with 2 words this week!!
SOLA SCRIPTURA. ta da! see you in the morning!
I know I don't do necessarily all of my school in God's name. I might be doing some of it, like writing a devo for a class or writing my testimony or something. When I do my school, my motivation is generally seeing my friends sooner, being done with school for the day, or wanting a high grade.
I rarely stop and think about whether or not I'm doing my school for the Lord. Most of the time, I think of my education as a thing I do for myself, not as something I can do for the Lord.
I rarely critique my work or do my work with the fact I am doing it for God in mind. I always do it thinking, "The higher the grade I get, the more and better colleges I can go to."
In other words, my main motivation for doing my schoolwork is I want the freedom of having big schools like University of Texas or other schools want to have me attend their schools. I don't want to attend some tiny community college, I want the big time universities.
That is what I think about when I turn in a paper or test. I rarely think about what God would think. Although, I'll admit that when I get a bad grade on something (which is once, maybe twice, a year, for the record), THEN I think about what God thinks of me!!!
Randi Rae and LoVizzle,
Thanks so much for weighing in on this matter. I really appreciate your sharing with such honesty.
Comments like these are where I have been trying to take the blog all year! Yay!

Tyler J.
Whats the deal with this bumper sticker thing? Is it something I can work on tonight or is it a long drawn out thing?
Tyler J,
The assignment was to do a bumper sticker, 15 words or less, relating to the career you researched. It is to be done on a plain sheet of paper, cut in half length-wise.
Since you were absent last week, you are not responsible to turn it in this week. I'll give you the assignment tomorrow.
Mrs. P
